General Service Commercial Rates within the Marquette City Limits – U3
Who May Take Service: Any city customer for general purposes with less than a 25-kW demand.
Territory Applicable: All territory served by the Marquette Board of Light and Power in the city limits of Marquette, Michigan.
Hours of Service: Twenty-four hours daily.
Character of Service: Single or 3 phase, alternating current, 60 hertz, at standard available voltages.
Rate: Fixed Charge: $45.25/month
Plus Energy: $0.1390/kWh
Minimum Charge: The minimum charge shall be $45.25 per meter.
Contract: None required.
Rules Applying: Service is governed by the Marquette Board of Light and Power's Standard Rules and Regulations.
Conjunctional billing will not be permitted in cases where the customer is presently being served lighting and power loads through separate meters. In these instances, whenever the customer at their expense will arrange their wiring to receive energy through one single metered service, then this rate shall apply to their entire requirements if their demand is less than 25-kW.

Security Lighting: CL or RL (Dusk to Dawn Lighting)
Who May Take Service: Any city or rural customer where the customer takes service at the same premise under a standard rate schedule. Also, any Township customer served by the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
Territory Applicable: All territory served by the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
Hours of Service: Daily, from dusk to dawn.
Character of Service: Single phase, alternating current, 60 hertz, nominally at 120 volts.
Rate: $13.25 per light per month
Minimum Charge: A minimum charge does not apply.
Contract: May be required by the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
Rules Applying:
1. Service is governed by the Marquette Board of Light and Power's Standard Rules and Regulations.
2. The Marquette board of Light and Power will provide normal maintenance to the lighting unit including the fixture, lamp, ballast, LED modules, driver, photo-electric control, mounting brackets and all necessary wiring. The MBLP will furnish all electric energy required for operation of the unit.
3. Normal lamp replacement shall be the responsibility of the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
4. Damages to fixture, lamp, ballast, photo-electric control, mounting brackets by vandalism or malicious mischief shall be at the customer's expense.
5. For service under this schedule, installation of the unit must be on an existing utility pole upon which the Marquette Board of Light and Power's secondary lines are already attached or on the customer's own pole approved by the Marquette Board of Light and Power.
6. The Marquette Board of Light and Power will install a pole for the dusk to dawn light with costs based on present pole costs to be paid by the customer.
